Aandrijf Technisch Buro, the official representative of I.Mak in the Netherlands, is pleased to announce the significant expansion of the MA- and MK series monoblock industrial gearboxes. This range expansion enriches both product series, offering greater flexibility and options for a wider array of applications.

The expanded series includes the introduction of a smaller size, the 400, and the addition of two larger sizes, the 1100 and 1200. Both the standard parallel shaft (MA series) and helical units (MK series), with cast iron monoblock housing, have been upgraded to meet the growing demands of industrial sectors.

The MA-MK series industrial gearboxes now covers a torque range from 6,080 Nm to 70,000 Nm, with hollow shaft diameters ranging from 80 mm to 180 mm. These enhancements make the series ideal for heavier and more specialized applications, such as large conveyors, mixers, shredders, extruders, winches, and cranes. The gearboxes are also used in industries like water management and recycling, where reliable and robust performance is essential.

The project features two bevel helical gearboxes from our Turkish partner I.Mak Gearboxes & Drives, configured as a tandem drive, with a left and right version. Each gearbox is powered by a robust 30kW electric motor.

​Aandrijf Technisch Buro has successfully engineered and delivered two customized winch gearboxes with an integrated electromagnetic brake for a customer in the dredging industry. Due to the compact design of the gearbox, there was no space to install a traditional brake on the non-drive end of the electric motor. In cooperation with our sister company Euro Hübner Benelux, we were able to construct an intermediate flange, to fit the SFB40 electromagnetic spring-loaded brake on these planetary winch drives.

​​The customized solution includes a motor adapter, input shaft, and brake flange, designed to handle a maximum dynamic output torque of 156.000Nm with a ratio of 165,4. The electromagnetic brake provides a brake torque of 400Nm. The gearbox was delivered in primer painting, applied in our own painting cabin.

The last couple of years we supply more and more planetary slewing gearboxes of considerable size. Typical for these slewing gearboxes or slewing drives is the pinion on the output shaft and often a long extended output support. The output support has some reinforced bearings with a certain distance between them, to be able to resist the high radial load coming from the pinion. The pinion can be integrated with the output shaft or separately mounted on the shaft end.

The RE and GB series from DINAMIC OIL SpA come in 18 sizes with FEM torque ratings up to 460.000Nm. They are available in inline or right-angle version, with or without brake, for hydraulic or electric motor. The possibilities and application areas of slewing gearboxes are very diverse. We have many different output supports as a standard and we are also able to customize them to customer needs. We have many standard pinions but we also manufacture customer or application specific pinions.

​A beautiful black worm gearbox from our Italian partner Ghirri Motoriduttori passed our workshop last week. This MV_X worm gearbox is especially designed for a wet and humid environment, like the food- and beverage industry, the maritime sector, car washes and other applications in aggressive environments. With the utmost attention to oil tightness and cleaning of the external surfaces of the gearbox, the unit can be installed close to the work process without using any covers or cabinets. 

This worm gearbox from the MV_X series has following features: 

• Exterior surfaces are anodized coated 
• Smooth housing, with holes that facilitate discharge of water after wash-down
• Stainless steel hollow output shaft (AISI 316)
• Housing execution without breather plug to prevent oil contamination
• Stainless steel mounting hardware, like bolts, nuts and washers
• Button plugs for unused mounting holes

​Ever realized that the seabed is partly covered with pipelines that transport oil and gas from one place to the other? The installation of these pipelines are done by a pipelaying vessel. This vessel is equipped with pipe tensioners, mostly in combination with traction- and storage winches.
 
In this specific case we supplied two planetary gearboxes with female output spline shaft which are directly connected to the shaft that drives the tensioner track. The gearboxes have a dynamic peak torque of something less than 200.000Nm.

To statically hold the pipe in the tensioners, the gearboxes have a spring applied, hydraulically lifted disc brake with a brake torque of almost 1.300Nm. The units are driven by axial piston motor with 110cc displacement.

Aandrijf Technisch Buro completes its product range to include 'Gears and pinions' and 'Spline shafts and -bushes'. This addition enables us to meet customers' wishes quickly and flexibly, whether these are standard products or customised according to drawing.

A huge variety of sizes, base materials, treatments and machining, ensures a perfectly matched solution for every application. Especially pinions, which are often used on slewing gearboxes, can be supplied as an integral pinion or as a loose pinion with spline or cylindrical bore with keyway(s). Material certificates, hardness reports and dimensional reports are available on request.

We also offer a wide range of spline shafts and bushes. These products are manufactured according to customer drawings and comply with various standards such as DIN5482. Whether you need specific materials, treatments, small or large quantities, we can meet almost all requirements.

Both product lines are produced by the Italian company Galezzi Meccanica, a relatively small but highly experienced company known for its fast production of small series. With this expansion, we offer our customers an even more extensive and high-quality range of power transmission components.

Last week, we built a planetary slewing gearbox including pinion for a manufacturer of movable loading arms. The loading arms are used for (un)loading ships in the petrochemical industry. Normally, the slewing movement of the arm is made with a cylinder, but now the manufacturer required a turning radius of approx. 270 degrees. For this application, a slewing bearing combined with a pinion was installed on the loading arm.

We built a complete slewing gearbox including brake, hydraulic motor and valve within a few days, as most parts come from our stock of Dinamic Oil sub-assemblies. While the two-stage gearbox is being assembled, the M10-Z12 pinion has been produced.  Meanwhile, the slewing gearbox has also been given a 3-layer coating in the customer-specific color RAL2009. In this way all connections are well sealed and protected against corrosion. ​The finishing touch was made by adding the expansion vessel to accept the expanding of the oil during running.

​This week we supplied a nice order with 4 + 5 helical geared motors from our newest gearbox supplier Cidepa-Sincron. The CRM-series coaxial gearboxes are produced and delivered within very short time from the factory in Spain.

The four smallest gearboxes with a 2.2 kW electric motor will be used horizontally for a sliding adjustment and the five largest geared motors with 4 kW motors will be mounted vertically for a mixing application. They all have an IEC input, are filled with oil and have a standard coating. The CRM-series gearbox is a easy to install unit, particularly suitable for a wide range of applications such as internal transport systems, packaging industry, mixers and lifting constructions.

At the beginning of April, we delivered two screw jacks from our Italian partner Setec. These SEL-100T screw jacks with a traveling nut on a trapezoidal screw, have a lifting capacity of 10 tons each and a stroke length of 300mm. We fitted the screw jacks with a 1.5kW / 6-pole electric motor with size 112 of the brand MT Motori Elettrici. The linear drives will be used on a vacuum lifting table in a Belgian chocolate factory.
