We are proud to show you this picture of slewing gearboxes, winch gearboxes and tugger winches. This is the first batch, out of 3, consisting of a complete package of transmission for a pedestal mounted crane.

All units will be driven by electric motors and are supplied with lots of documents, certificates and the planetary winch drives are supplied with DNV Product Certificate. Depending on their final position, inside or outside the crane house, they have a different coating specification, up to 4 layers of paint after sandblasting.

​Tectyl-protection refers to applying a protective layer to the surface of metal parts to prevent corrosion. Tectyl- protection is a type of corrosion prevention and is applied by us to unpainted parts that may be exposed to moisture, according to the customer's wishes. Since gearbox interface dimensions are usually provided with tolerances, they are normally not painted and need to be protected afterwards.

This surface treatment is often applied to customers, active in the offshore and maritime industry. After the gearboxes are received by the customer, they are not always installed immediately and may be temporarily stored. In addition the transportation of gearboxes in containers brings a higher risk to have condensation due to the change of environmental conditions. By a tectyl-protection on the unpainted surfaces, we avoid corrosion.
