We have prepared a batch of four slewing gearboxes to be used in a crane with final destination Canada. The 4-stage slewing gearbox with reinforced output and pinion with module 14 and 14 teeth are driven by a Parker F12 motor with 30cc displacement. Due to the cold environmental conditions and their vertical mounting position, the units are completely filled with synthetic oil including an expansion vessel to accept the expanding of the oil during running.
The units were assembled from stock parts, painted in a 3 layer Hempel coating system and the pinions were made on customer’s wishes. To avoid standing water inside the boltheads which gives corrosion and create the risk that the bolts cannot be unscrewed for maintenance, we have added plastic caps in the boltheads. Just a small effort but a big advantage in the future.
