Second generation linear actuators from Setec

​Manufacturer of linear transmissions Setec from Turin (Italy) has been a partner for Aandrijf Technisch Buro from day one. At the end of 2023 they presented their second generation of industrial actuators. The new series AMT and AMC actuators are the result of more than 40 years of experience in the field of industrial automation. Both series consist of a range of high-quality, robust and reliable actuators and have several advantages towards the previous generation. 

Successors of ECO and ECU series
The new series AMT and AMC actuators replace the previous generation of ECO and ECU actuators. Both series are available with trapezoidal screw and ballscrew, with a stroke length according to customer needs. The industrial actuators can be supplied with different motor types, potentiometer, reed sensors and limit switches. The AMT is equipped with a wormgear stage and therefore the motor is placed in a right angle position to the axis of the actuator. The AMC series are in-line actuators and can either be a direct drive version or has a precision planetary gearbox positioned between the motor and the screw.

Improved performances
The new generation industrial actuators from Setec, provide better performance in many ways. They are performed with better inner tolerances and improved inner guiding of the piston. This allows higher nominal forces and leads to a longer statistical lifetime. The new series AMT for example have an increased maximum nominal force up to 21.000N and the AMC series no less than up to 75.000N.
