Spiral bevel boxes

The spiral bevel boxes are manufactured by PCM, situated in Monselice in Italy. The gearboxes with cast iron casings are supplied as speed reducing and speed increasing units, or even in a switchable execution up to an input power of maximum 265 kW.

Spiral bevel boxes are used in a wide range of applications such as lifting platforms for which Aandrijf Technisch Buro has delivered many units with which the motor power was divided to two, four or even more screw jacks, for bridge drives or for drives where only an angle of 90 degrees of movement had to be accomplished as well as for crane traction drives.

Technical specifications of PCM spiral bevel boxes are:

  • Maximum input motor power of 265kW
  • Maximum output torque of 2077Nm with a shaft diameter of 75mm
  • Ratio’s from 1:1 up to 1:5
  • Grease or oil lubricated, depending on speed
  • Stainless steel shafts and/ or niploy treatment of the casing for wet environments
  • Wide range of mounting positions and/or executions are possible like IEC input flange, male cylindrical shafts or hollow shafts with key, in switchable executions etc.
