Special Christmas gearbox

Several weeks ago we were present at the Offshore Energy exhibition in Amsterdam where we attracted a lot of attention with our bright green gearboxes. But this red coloured gearbox introduces Christmas time.

Our customer needed to replace a competitors unit which should be more or less interchangeable and not all specification were complete on the old documents. Aandrijf Technisch Buro helped them with finding out what’s exactly needed and our thankful customer ordered this unit to us.

It’s a standard 2 stage, inline planetary gearbox with hollow shaft including shrink disc, driven by a Danfoss orbital motor OMP-50. The combination is sandblasted and painted in 3 layers epoxy coat for offshore use, in this beautiful Christmas colour.

That’s what we call the right Christmas spirit… 🎅🎅🎅

When selecting the right coupling, technical expertise is essential. Where a flexible coupling has to absorb vibrations and compensate for misalignment, a gear coupling exceeds in transmitting extremely high torques within a compact design. A disc coupling, on the other hand, is torsionally rigid and without backlash, making it ideal for precision applications such as pumps and compressors. Finding the right balance between performance, reliability and lifecycle requires specialized knowledge.

Driving cranes, moving loads

At Aandrijf Technisch Buro, we recently delivered a series of eight customized bevel-helical gearboxes for use in a bogie drive system of a rail-mounted crane.

From 3d design to customized transmission

For a large industrial hall, Aandrijf Technisch Buro engineered and supplied the complete transmission system for an impressive door weighing approximately 16 tons, measuring over 5 meters in height and nearly 28 meters in width.

Reliable transmissions for the theatre industry

For a project in the theatre industry, we supplied two mechanically coupled bevel helical geared motors (IRK-153 with hollow shaft Ø120mm from I.Mak), which will be used to drive a winch system of a portal bridge.

ATEX certified gearbox package

For a recent FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) ship project, Aandrijf Technisch Buro supplied an ATEX-certified gearbox package designed for safe use in offshore environments.
