Gear couplings

Gear couplings are robust couplings that are highly suitable for transmitting high torques in a compact design. Thanks to the toothed profile, they provide a strong and reliable connection that can compensate for axial, radial and angular misalignments. Gear couplings are widely used in installations where high power and variable operating conditions are required, such as cranes, lifting and transport systems and heavy industrial drives.

The gear couplings from Northon Trasmissioni are fully machined and produced from steel. Northon operates a production facility with a wide range of machinery for cutting gear teeth in all required module sizes. The couplings are rated for a nominal torque of up to 15.700.000Nm and a peak torque of 31.400.000Nm.

Northon’s gear couplings are designed and manufactured entirely in-house in Italy, ensuring consistent quality and reliable performance. With a large stock and efficient production lines, lead times are short. In addition, Northon has extensive experience in developing custom-made gear couplings for demanding and critical applications, where material selection and construction are tailored to the specific operating conditions.

Characteristics of gear couplings
