Slewing gearboxes

Slewing gearboxes are used for a wide variety of slewing and rotating of various applications. Examples are cranes, thruster systems, platforms and building maintenance units. A slewing gearbox is a gearbox executed with a pinion on the output shaft which is moving a gearing. These units, most of the times are executed with enlarged output bearings to be able to support the high radial loads coming from the output pinion.

Dinamic Oil is already supplying slewing gearboxes with output torques from less than 1000Nm and this range is expanding up to gear units where the output pinion module is larger than 40.

Technical specifications of the Dinamic Oil planetary slewing gearboxes are:

  • Output torques up to 330.000Nm and larger torques are available on request
  • Pinions mounted on the output shaft, or shaft integrated pinion, not ground or ground to achieve a better running surface
  • Option for pinions of special materials with special heat treatments to reach higher Charpy values, incl. testcertificates
  • Prepared for mounting of electric motors, hydraulic motors, with or without hydraulically lifted negative failsafe ( holding ) brake
  • Material and or test certificates or type approvals from manufacturer or from external certifying bodies like DNV, ABS, Lloyd's. Bureau Veritas, GL etc are possible.
